The Foundations Specialist exists to grow and deepen productive relationships with our amazing supporters and foundations. We are driven to raise the money and partnerships needed to deliver CAP’s vision to see churches serve and include the poorest whilst confidently proclaiming Jesus. We work alongside our Fundraising & Marketing team to deliver a fantastic supporter experience.

This is a part-time role and hours will be decided in agreement with the successful candidate.

 

  • Lead our program of foundation funding applications.
  • Create and collate all funding projects.
  • Write persuasive and accurate applications.
  • Undertake any writing tasks as required by the Executive Director and VP of Fundraising & Marketing.
  • Achieve target amount of money raised through foundations.
  • Achieve target number of applications for foundations.
  • Meet deadlines for all applications and writing projects.

 

Qualification & Experience 

  • Must hold a degree level qualification in the relevant field i.e. Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications or similar.
  • Experience of creative and persuasive writing.
  • Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
  • Organized and driven to reach targets quickly and efficiently.
  • Able to prioritize time, tasks and attention effectively.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • The candidate will be able to share their coming to faith story, be a member and regular attendee of a local evangelical church and be able to agree with our statement of faith

 

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of writing funding applications and reports.
  • In depth knowledge of foundation application processes.
  • Existing relationships with foundations and boards.
