CAP began in 1996 and has grown to impact communities and churches by offering guidance toward debt freedom and financial wellness while sharing the gospel and ministering to those in need around the world. Simon Wilce, CAP's Executive Director, felt the personal calling to bring CAP to the US believing there was a need and that God had given CAP something worth sharing.
While these first few years haven’t been an easy time to introduce and launch CAP in America, God has sustained and blessed our efforts. So what kept us going? First, it is the transformed lives - Lamika, John, Nicole, and so many more!
Second, I am fueled by the vision of personally seeing God use CAP to change nations. I don’t say that lightly, after working with CAP for over 20 years in the post-Christian UK, I’ve seen CAP grow as a bold, evangelistic, church-based ministry and become a household name.
The impact of CAP UK influences policy reform and has been highlighted by secular media for the transformation of communities through local churches.
After 15 years in New Zealand, another country I helped pioneer, CAP is now reaching the same levels of influence as in the UK. CAP is leading the way in other nations (Canada and Australia) with ministry to the poor.
CAP America is the greatest next frontier. The challenges and learnings of the last five years have positioned CAP America for tremendous growth. We are seeing firsthand the impact on churches that our Debt Centers and CAP Money courses are having in these communities.
The next stage of our journey is to connect with more churches to help many more families walk in financial wellness. Will you join us to change a nation?
